Zhengzhou Dengfeng Smelting Material Co., Ltd.（DFRL） established in October 1985 and headquartered in Dengfeng City, Henan Province, has grown steadily over the decades. The company’s “Duck” brand calcium aluminate cement has gained widespread recognition for its quality and performance, earning high praise from various sectors, including the military. Known as a leading enterprise in China’s calcium aluminate cement industry, the company has received numerous honors, including “Henan Province High-tech Enterprise,” “Outstanding Private Enterprise of Henan Province,” and “Green Factory of Henan Province.”

We specialize in the R&D, production, and technical support of “Duck” brand calcium aluminate cement products, operating six rotary kiln production lines equipped with preheaters. These products are widely applied across industries, including refractory materials, non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical building materials, steel refining, and wastewater treatment.

  • In 1992, the company established a technical R&D center
    • Which has since developed a range of innovative products, such as early-strength and high-strength calcium aluminate cement, steel refining calcium aluminate purifiers, high-strength refractory concrete for rocket launch platform flame trenches, and rapid repair materials for military airport runways. These products have won several awards and are protected by multiple patents.

Founder Introduction

Wang Jianting(1939-2019)

Since founding the factory, DFRL’s former chairman led the team in independently developing and producing the “Duck” brand calcium aluminate cement series, significantly advancing the high-strength and high-refractoriness levels of China’s calcium aluminate cement. Under his leadership, DFRL became one of the industry’s leading producers and contributed to expanding China’s cement exports.

Guided by Chairman Wang Jianting, the company’s R&D team supplied low-ablation refractory concrete for flame trenches at China’s four major satellite launch bases in Xichang, Jiuquan, Taiyuan, and Wenchang, reducing dependence on costly imports. Chairman Wang also led the development of three generations of rapid repair materials for military airports, successfully applied at dozens of military airports across China.

In 2003, Chairman Wang established a non-profit organization, the DFRL Rural Support Center, known as the “Grassroots Bank,” with an investment of over 23 million RMB to help over 2,000 impoverished rural residents improve their living conditions, earning him the nickname of “Yunus of Dengfeng.”

A farmer-turned-entrepreneur with a deep commitment to his country, Chairman Wang remained resolute in protecting national interests, resisting pressures from international cement giants. He invested 180 million RMB to build a research institute for new materials in calcium aluminate cement, aerospace, and defense, and was frequently invited to observe satellite launches. Through tireless dedication and selfless service, he carried the responsibility of upholding China’s standards in calcium aluminate materials. A visionary who embodied an unwavering spirit of innovation, patriotism, and commitment, Chairman Wang focused on growth while nurturing his love for country and community. Known as an “Outstanding Contributor to China’s Calcium Aluminate Materials,” he is celebrated across society as a role model, honored for his leadership, dedication, and integrity.
